Description
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for designing innovative studies, working with cross functional teams and external partners to execute research initiatives, crunching data to uncover insights, developing analytics and KPIs to monitor the study data and communicating findings with various stakeholders in our multidisciplinary team. You'll be the bridge between our cutting-edge algorithms and end user experience through the design and execution of research that shapes our product strategy.Core responsibilities include:Owning the full lifecycle of high impact research that informs product development including crafting innovative protocols, selecting and managing vendors, developing real-time data monitoring plans, and coordinating the studies’ timelines, budgets, and tooling.Identifying novel research approaches and pivoting quickly based on the ever-changing environmentTranslating complex algorithm requirements into actionable data strategies, balancing speed, cost, and qualityWorking cross-functionally with data scientists, software engineers, quality engineers, privacy, legal and more to guide products from conception to launch Being responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the research data and lead the team through defining, identifying, collecting, and tracking appropriate product or performance metrics, both quantitative and qualitative, for new and existing features.Being adept at conducting data analysis on large datasets using tools like Python and derive insights to inform product strategy and operational decision-making Creating data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to key stakeholdersPrioritizing relentlessly, communicating trade-offs internally, and aligning stakeholders of different backgrounds to cut through the noise and deliver a clear path forward
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven track record designing, executing, and analyzing impactful human research studies to support product development of health, fitness, wellness, or safety features
  • Experience in creating detailed operational roadmaps and know-how to pivot and adjust along with the changing dynamics of research and development
  • Strong technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical algorithm designs, challenges, and risks
  • Excellent programming skills with a scientific computing language (e.g. Matlab or Python)
  • Fluent with data and passionate for turning data into actionable insights that drive product decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience building and shipping technical, user-friendly products preferably in a startup or fast paced environment
  • Proficiency in data analysis with a scientific computing language (e.g. Matlab or Python) and research methodologies
  • Proactive, self-motivated and self-directed, detail-oriented, data driven and eager to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
