About the Role:
As a Design Safety Professional, you will:
- Serve as a Design Safety advisor/facilitator on major projects and programs.
- Apply your specialised skills in collaboration with project managers, design teams, and specialists.
- Facilitate client-facing Design Safety risk workshops, including HAZID and HAZOP.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety assurance tasks, preparing Safety Assurance Reports (SAR) and Safety Cases (SC).
- Advocate for Design Safety internally and externally, providing expert advice and building strong relationships.
- Coach and mentor project personnel and stakeholders on Design Safety best practices.
- Deliver internal Design Safety training and stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and best practices.
- Contribute to proposal and bid development with Design Safety insights.
- Support the development and communication of Jacobs’ ANZ Design Safety processes and procedures.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Chemical/Process).
- Strong competencies in Engineering Design and Design Safety.
- HAZOP Facilitator qualifications (desirable).
- Extensive experience in Engineering and Design Safety.
- Proficiency in Process and Design Safety risk and client-facing risk workshop facilitation, including HAZID.
- Experience with Design Safety Risk and Audit, SiD, HAZID, HAZOP, and CHAIR Studies.
- Familiarity with ANZ Work Health and Safety Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and industry design standards.
