The Role

Our Senior Basis Consultants, as part of the Critical Incident Management team, are responsible for the 24x7 availability of SAP systems running on SAP ECS. In this role you will support, troubleshoot and resolve alerts and incidents and seek opportunities to streamline standard operating procedures through automation. You will have to collaborate with other roles like Major Incident Manager, Level 3 support for various Technical Areas, Managed Service Providers, Global Cloud Services and Hyperscalers and sometimes guide other roles on the process and technical details for troubleshooting, action planning and resolution related to critical / major incidents.

Role Requirements

We are looking for both SAP Basis NetWeaver (ABAP and Java Basis administration) and Non-NetWeaver Consultants having experience with HANA DB who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and flexible environment. You should have the following technical skills/experience:

  • Experience in at least one Non-NetWeaver technology: BOBJ, SAP Mobile, Convergent Charging, OpenText, HANA XSA, etc.
  • Solid know-how on SAP Technologies (SAP NetWeaver certification highly beneficial)
  • Experience supporting Large and Complex Productive SAP environments.
  • Experience working on Hyperscalers environments with focus on GCP, Azure or AWS
  • Strong working knowledge in Linux and Windows operating system platforms
  • At least 8 years of working experience with SAP Basis
  • Most of the years of experience should be in IT Operations with significant experience in working on incidents and alerts (having experience in upgrade or migration project is not enough, experience in Operations is key)
  • Problem solving and analytical ability to tackle complex problems in IT operations.
  • Experience of handling operations for IT systems hosted in the cloud.
  • Strong capabilities in technical documentation and the ability to work effectively in international and virtual teams.
  • Fluent and comfortable with both written and oral English communication.
  • Go-getter who is ready to take up any challenge and solve a problem within a specified time with an eye for quality and with a mindset to provide sustainable solution.
