As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various industries. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way businesses operate. Your expertise in systems engineering, project management, and technical guidance will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology and industry solutions. You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, Florida location on a hybrid work schedule.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the design and development of advanced systems, including hardware, software, and network components
  • Provide successful execution of complex engineering project
  • Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to safeguard systems and data
  • Guide the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring they are installed correctly, tested rigorously, and perform optimally
  • Provide technical guidance in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring systems remain operational
  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, implement enhancements, and contribute to the optimization of operations


U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 6+ years engineering experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

WE VALUE

  • Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Software Engineering preferred, other disciplines considered
  • Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
  • 5+ years of related experience in Inertial Navigation
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
  • Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • Familiarity with navigation and sensor products (gyroscopes and accelerometers) and performance
  • Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
  • Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
  • An understanding of data structures to provide analytical problem solving
  • Strong team participation and learning skills
