Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Working with the team on a broad range of interesting clients, dealing directly with clients on a day-to-day basis to manage direct tax compliance and advisory matters under the supervision of more senior team members.
  • Supporting the team in the delivery of direct tax advisory projects for various direct taxes such as corporation tax, special defence contributions, withholding taxes and capital gains tax.
  • Supporting the successful delivery of direct tax projects, such as preparation of rulings, supporting in relation to tax audits, reviewing the tax position of the Companies from an audit point of view and assisting with the completion and submission of various Tax Forms and Returns.
  • Building and maintaining relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations.
  • Helping to create a positive learning culture, coaching and counselling junior team members to help them develop professionally and personally.
  • Keeping up to date with current developments in the field of tax and apply knowledge to relevant client cases.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (minimum 2:1, 7.5/10) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields and/or ACA, ACCA or any other professional qualification.
  • 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Fluency in Greek and English written and spoken. Any additional language is an asset.
  • Motivation to start or continue a career in the direct tax in an international environment.
