• Education AssistanceThe annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $135,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. • Leadership in New Product Development: Lead and support New Product Development (NPD) initiatives by managing cross-functional teams tasked with creating intricate integrated technology solutions. Conduct research on solvent-based carbon capture technologies, focusing on their effectiveness and efficiency in reducing CO2 footprint.
• Project Management Excellence: Implement Z21 methodologies and project management best practices to ensure that all technology deliverables are met on schedule and within budget.
• Pilot Plant Experimentation: Direct and facilitate pilot plant experiments while driving a model-based design of experiments (MBDOE) approach to expedite technology advancement.
• Innovation and Intellectual Property: Identify and develop innovative solutions, authoring invention disclosures to contribute significantly to Honeywell UOP’s innovation initiatives.
• Collaboration and Growth Strategies: Engage with business colleagues to effectively develop technologies that bolster existing business lines and support growth strategies.
• Competitive Landscape Monitoring: Stay informed about competition, monitor advancements in relevant technological areas, and lead projects designed to address gaps.
• Mentorship Role: Act as a mentor for less experienced scientists and engineers, fostering their growth and professional development.


• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 3+ years of experience in carbon capture technologies, with a focus on solvent methods, is highly desirable.
• Advanced degree (MS, PhD) in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Technology Development, specifically in solvent-based technology commercialization.
• Profound understanding of chemistry and chemical engineering principles, with applications in process, absorption, catalyst, and adsorbent technology development.
• Proven experience in formulating and executing experimental plans, with proficiency in statistical tools for comprehensive data analysis. Ability to design experimental set-ups to meet project objectives.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma principles with practical applications for managing risks and uncertainties; Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred; Black Belt certification is ideal.
• Strong business acumen combined with an entrepreneurial mindset to drive technological development in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver impactful presentations to diverse audiences and effectively manage customer relationships.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques, data analysis software, and chemical engineering principles.
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, approximately 10% of the time.
