Job Description

These tools cover network configuration provisioning, network measurement and network inventory. In addition, the role will participate on developing and supporting applications for network management in Ansible.

This role requires a highly skilled individual with subject matter expertise in both communication networks and software development.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Learn about existing tools in our Company and find ways to improve how they are configured, managed and used

• Understand company’s processes related to network management and evaluate the fitness of various network tools in how they are able to support these processes

• Become a point of contact for selected network tools

• Develop automation solutions

• Design and maintain the configuration of selected tools based on business demand and governance

• Drive improvements in the processes around selected network tools

• Participate in evaluating new tools

• Own data quality for selected tools

• Develop, maintain & support Ansible playbooks

• Cooperate closely with network designers and network operations

Education Minimum Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Networks, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, technical sciences or equivalent experience.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 3 years in a technical role related to communication networks

• Understanding of network management and network operations

• General understanding of network tools

• Solid understanding of IP-based communication networks (on the level of CCNA, but certification not required)

• Understanding of network protocols and network monitoring methods (IP, TCP, DNS, switching, routing, SNMP)

• Skilled in designing solutions that address complex integration challenges while considering scalability, security, performance, and maintainability

• Experience in one or more of the following areas is a must:

  • Solid understanding of Ansible and real-world experience in developing Ansible playbooks to manage network infrastructure

  • Intermediate experience with scripting, programming, SQL

  • At least an intermediate experience in Python

  • Solid understanding of AWS offerings and how they can be used in solution design

• Strong willingness to keep learning new technologies

• Able to establish good working relationships globally and collaborate with networks of employees at all levels

• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate with both technical and business audiences
