Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive sourcing strategies and best practices to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance for the electronics category and global sourcing teams
- Driving commercial success and strategy execution for existing business, new products and launches; provide support for acquisition integration
- Enhancing service and performance with single-source and challenging suppliers through contracting tools
- Fostering strong relationships with R&D to influence design and alignment on category strategies including second source opportunities with preferred suppliers
- Leading projects to meet category objectives and leverage supplier partnerships to achieve optimal results
- Partnering with divisional leadership and PMO to prioritize competing NPD projects and ensure supplier readiness
- Assessing and managing risks within the supply base to support quality, service, and cost requirements; lead category team in resolving complex problems
- Evaluating end-to-end supply and identifying opportunities to decrease total cost of ownership (TCO); influence make vs. buy decisions
- Driving commercial excellence through cost reduction initiatives including competitive bidding, effective negotiation, and creative cost structure solutions
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business or a related field
- Minimum 12 years of experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management or supplier relationship management
- Experience with MS Office Excel and other applications (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 20% globally
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or professional certification (i.e. CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
- Experience sourcing direct materials (electronics preferred) in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in medical device or similar regulated industry
- Strong decision-making and negotiation skills, ability to influence internal and external teams
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills: process and results-oriented
