As a Continuous Improvement and Training Leader you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Driving continuous improvements in Tier Effectiveness, Leader Standard Work, Material Flow, Operator Training Plans, and others through leading and coaching Kaizen events and ensuring effective implementation.
- Leading the sitewide deployment of Dozuki, establish content standards and continual improvement of work instructions. Establish processes to leverage Dozuki for training courses and training records.
- Developing, communicating and executing strategic plans for the plant Lean journey and site Training & Development, utilizing the 3M Execution Model.
- Training, teaching and coaching Job Instructions and Job Relations via Training Within Industry methodologies.
- Partnering with Operations and Quality to establish the long-term strategic goals of both the plant training processes and the plant Continuous Improvement Organization.
- Manage the day-to-day operations as well as long-term goals of both the plant training organization and the plant Continuous Improvement Organization
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to the start) and a minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to the start) and minimum of three (3) years manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Three (3) years of Lean experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Supervision/managementexperience in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Five years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Experience in developing adult education and training courses.
- Experience with the 3M Execution Model and deployment in a manufacturing site.
