The opportunity

• Application DBA (SQL Developer) with 5-7 Yrs of Experience to maintain and support Store Procedures in MS SQL Server

Your key responsibilities

• Maintain & Support Stored Procedures
• Optimize stored procedures to increase performance.
• Participate in requirements analysis, outage, and resolution of production issues.
• Test and deploy applications and systems.
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
• Lead a team of 3-4, drive service delivery and ensure SLA Adherence
• Collaborate with internal teams to fix the issues.
• Understand code, Fix and clean and optimise the database.
• Provide on-call support for any Critical issues on rotation basis.
  

Skills and attributes for success

• Minimum five years of professional experience as a SQL Server Application DBA with MS SQL Server 2012 and up
• Strong knowledge of database design principles in data warehousing environment, database logical and physical design
• Highly competent in SQL database performance tuning, creation of right indexing strategy to meet.data growth needs and performance monitoring and query optimization using SQL Profiler
• Strong SQL skills to provide code review and tuning feedback to the development team.
• Knowledge of SSRS is added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of database administration, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and systems analysis procedures
• Experience in application development tools (e.g. GIT, SVN and source control), testing, and process and configuration management
• Effectively communicates and documents technical architecture and solutions to internal peer groups as well as other groups
• A team player with solid communication skills, excellent at problem solving, troubleshooting, and
• embracing new challenges
• Manage team members, assign work and drive production support delivery
• Positive attitude and the ability to remain flexible in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to manage time across multiple, simultaneous projects.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a member of a team, as well as the maturity to work independently.
• General working knowledge with the on-prem or Cloud Platform
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, Attention to details.
• Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices and ITIL Process.
• Experience in using Service Now, Incident, Service Request and Change Management Process.
• Education in Information Technology or equivalent working experience
• Have exposure to working in shifts and on-call support.
  

To qualify for the role, you must have.

• 5-8 years (Senior) of experience in Application DBA maintenance and experience in SSRS, SSIS
• Strong in Transact SQL, strong RDBMS concepts with experience in either MS SQL Server.
• Good experience in Stored Procedure, Views, Triggers and Indexing.
• Solid working knowledge of relational database development
• Flexible to work in shifts and On Call Support on a roster-ed rotational basis.
