Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of advanced analytics strategies related to mortgage servicing, focusing on areas such as property tax, insurance escrow accounts, and regulatory reporting.
- Utilize SAS and SQL programming to synthesize large datasets, generating actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for senior leaders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, data scientists, and operations, to ensure data quality and effective strategy execution.
- Mentor and develop team members through regular one-on-one coaching, professional development, and performance reviews, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Conduct biweekly team meetings to provide updates on servicing strategy, recognize achievements, and promote team progress towards goals, while actively promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Communicate complex analytical findings to senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity and impact, and deliver influential presentations to management.
- Build and execute a strategic book of work, managing risks, deadlines, and dependencies, while ensuring accountability and timely escalation of issues.
- Engage with stakeholders through regular one-on-one meetings, bringing agenda topics and following up on action items to maintain strong relationships.
- Continuously improve processes, prioritize high-value work, and ensure robust controls are in place for key processes.
- Actively seek and respond to feedback, promoting an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, with expertise in SAS and/or SQL programming (ORACLE, Teradata).
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- An advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience in mortgage servicing, risk analytics, or financial services.
- Familiarity with advanced analytical tools and techniques, such as Tableau or Alteryx.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic projects and mentor junior team members.
- Experience working with geographically diverse teams is a plus.
