What You Will Do
• Lead customers to design technical implementation–by understanding their requirements–that are scalable, optimally managed, and adaptable using Red Hat technological solutions
• Build solutions that adapt to the customer’s culture in the design and delivery of their projects and actively pursue opportunities for improvement
• Grow an open, inclusive culture through collaboration and thought leadership, both in day-to-day client delivery and internal Red Hat improvement initiatives
• Continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologies
• Must be able to able to accommodate 25% travel
• Must be able to pass customer background checks or clearances as applicable
After joining Red Hat, You will undergo an intensive customized training program on Red Hat technologies and services solutions. Here's how your skill set will evolve and what you'll learn during your first year in the role:
• Understanding of how to build production-ready technical solutions integrated with existing enterprise systems
• Learn technologies and consulting skills to enhance your abilities through enablements designed and taught by Red Hat experts and Red Hat certification
• Gain exposure and collaboration within Red Hat Services & the larger organization through everyday networking and community events
• Knowledge of how a customer use case can be developed into a project plan and how those requirements align with Red Hat’s technologies
• Continue expanding your knowledge and network, both internal and external, through enablement, communities, customers, and meet-ups
Within 12 months, begin to demonstrate technical leadership by accomplishing the following:
• Successfully implementing complex, large-scale solutions in customer environments
• Active engagement and knowledge sharing with our internal and external communities of practice on lessons learned, best practices, and how-tos
What You Will Bring
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Broad knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Solid Linux system administration skills; Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)-level Linux skills or better; certifications are a plus but not required
• Experience with cloud technologies, including Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud, Microsoft Azure Government, and Google Compute Platform (GCP)
• Extensive technical experience with virtualization, especially Red Hat Virtualization, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix XenServer; VMware Certified Professional certification is a plus
• Experience leading pre-sales efforts including scoping and discovery sessions
• Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and general problem-solving skills
• Great customer service skills and desire to make users successful
• Positive attitude, ability to work as part of a team, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deep understanding of working with DISA, FISMA, NIST, and STIG security guidelines and how to adhere to them
• Experience working within the US Department of Defense (DoD) and US Intelligence Community (IC)
• Ability to maintain a TS/SCI with CI-scope polygraph at a minimum
• Ability to make on-site customer visits; approximately 4-days per week
The following are considered a plus:
• Practical experience with Red Hat Satellite or similar systems-management technologies
• Experience with edge and AI/ML solutions
• Broader knowledge of the Red Hat portfolio, including Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security, and Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation
• Experience with datacenter automation tools and processes
• System administration or datacenter architecture experience
• Windows system administration
• Ruby, Python, or PowerShell programming experience
• Ability to study and learn quickly and put new topics into practice
The salary range for this position is $111,260.00 - $183,580.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
