About the Role

- - - - What the Candidate Will Do ----

  1. Refine ambiguous business questions into clear, actionable problems to improve customer engagement/conversion, retention and satisfaction. Ongoing hypotheses about pre-sales and sales lifecycle stages through data analysis.
  2. Analyze experimental results to drive impactful conclusions and actionable recommendations.
  3. Identify opportunities to enhance GTM systems by integrating predictive models such as customer behavior, purchase propensity or churn risk.
  4. Build statistical, optimization, and machine learning models for a range of use cases across GTM Systems.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as product, engineering, and commercial operations to drive system development end-to-end from ideation to productionization.
  6. Define how our teams measure success, by developing metrics, in close partnership with cross functional partners.

- - - - Basic Qualifications ----

  1. Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields.
  2. 3+ years of industry experience as an Applied or Data Scientist or equivalent.
  3. Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, machine learning, optimization, economics, and analytics.
  4. Experience in experimental design and analysis.
  5. Experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis and testing, and model development.
  6. Ability to use Python to work efficiently at scale with large data sets.
  7. Proficiency in SQL.

- - - - Preferred Qualifications ----

  1. Experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent.
  2. Experience managing projects across large, ambiguous scopes and driving initiatives in a fast moving, cross-functional environment.
  3. Experience guiding and mentoring other Data Scientists.
  4. Experience using statistical methodologies such as sampling, statistical estimates, descriptive statistics, or similar.
  5. Experience synthesizing data analyses into clear insights to influence product direction.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$165,000 per year - USD$183,000 per year.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$165,000 per year - USD$183,000 per year.
