Primary Purpose of Job:

Provide logistics support to the engineering and manufacturing staff. Responsible for inventory, distribution, coordination, and maintenance of all measurement and test equipment (M&TE) used by engineering and manufacturing personnel.

Basic Job Requirements:

  • Monitor and ensure M&TE compliance to ISO9001 procedures and company quality policies.

  • Work with Program Management and project engineers in the selection of their M&TE, and recommend alternative solutions when needed to meet M&TE requirements

  • Must have a basic knowledge of how the Iprocurement Requisition system works to plan and drive M&TE acquisitions

  • Complete understanding of “Capital Justification” form and contents

  • Create material requisitions for equipment, parts, and tools to support engineering and manufacturing personnel.

  • Initiate Asset Manager response within 24 hours of creation

  • Update Asset Manager WO’s at minimum, on a weekly basis

  • Follow-up on M&TE from initial order, receipt and distribution to Engineering/Manufacturing

  • Interface with vendors and sales engineers regarding test equipment, tools, and services, as directed by supervisor.

  • Generate basic Service Now Database reports as required.

  • Conduct monthly inventory of all test equipment and reconcile M&TE missing from inventory.

  • Verify M&TE availability and negotiate optimal utilization of existing QUALCOMM inventory.

  • Schedule timely calibration and repair of the test equipment inventory

  • Works on problems of minimal scope where answers can be readily obtained from available data and or TE SharePoint site

  • Elevates issues and concerns to higher level management for appropriate decisions.

  • Works under the direct supervision of management

  • With assistance, be able to identify technical requirements and substitute equipment as inventory permits.

Skill or Knowledge Level Required:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Databases, and electronic requisition systems

  • Good organizational skills and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently

  • Able to identify opportunities for cost reductions and expense controls

  • Familiarity with M&TE preferred

  • Good written and oral communications skills

  • Basic negotiation skills and interpersonal ability to interface with all levels

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with team members and remote teams

  • Good research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Physical, Mental or Visual Demand:

  • Ability to lift, pull, and push at least 65 lbs

  • Able to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Supervision will be required during initial training period. Follows established directions, policies, and guidelines to accomplish assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree.

High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant operations experience.

Pay range:

$22.26 - $33.41
