1. Business Change Leadership (50-60%)
- Lead Development and Execution: Spearhead the development, prioritization, and execution of Finance’s strategic change initiatives, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for Finance in enterprise-wide strategic change projects, coordinating with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Enterprise Change & Transformation (ECTO) and other business units to maintain consistent, aligned execution.
- Governance and Transparency: Oversee the Finance Change Advisory Team (ChAT) and serve as the “front door” for strategic initiatives, utilizing standardized intake processes and practices. Ensure transparency into project roadmaps, status, risks, and outcomes, providing clear communication and alignment.
- Portfolio and Program Management: Build and manage a prioritized portfolio of Finance initiatives, including the identification of project dependencies and risk mitigations, and promote continuous improvement across Finance-led initiatives.
2. Finance Strategic and Operating Plan Management (15-20%)
- Strategic Plan Development: Partner with Finance leadership to create and maintain annual and multi-year strategic and operating plans, overseeing resource allocation, initiative prioritization, and performance monitoring.
- Performance Review: Facilitate the creation of regular Operating Plan Reviews (e.g. Business Performance Reviews) to provide transparency into Finance’s KPIs, risks, and outcomes of strategic initiatives.
- Execution Lifecycle: Oversee the entire lifecycle of Finance’s strategic initiatives, conducting realization lookbacks and evaluating outcomes to ensure consistency with company mission, values, and priorities.
3. Board Engagement and Executive Reporting (10%)
- Board and Committee Management: Prepare and manage agendas, materials, and submissions for Board and Committee meetings, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and strategic alignment.
- Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between Finance and Legal, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and other stakeholders, aligning reporting on regulatory and risk matters presented to the Board.
- Executive Reporting: Develop executive-level reports on Finance’s strategic initiatives, risk updates, and key operational metrics, providing transparent, digestible insights for senior leadership.
4. Third-Party Service Management and Finance Administration (10%)
- Divisional Service Management: Lead the Finance Divisional Service Management function, ensuring third-party providers meet service level agreements (SLAs) and regulatory standards, and oversee incident response and business continuity planning.
- Vendor Optimization: Collaborate with Sourcing and Legal to optimize contracts with third-party service providers, balancing efficiency with risk and compliance requirements.
- Support to Operational Processes: Lead teams responsible for supporting Finance’s day-to-day operational processes, including engagement with Corporate Real Estate & Workplace (CREW), incident response management, business continuity planning, and other internal stakeholders/administrative items.
Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field with
- 15+ years of experience in financial services, change management, and/or risk management.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities with demonstrated ability to execute complex, cross-functional change initiatives in a financial or corporate setting.
- Ability to work with executive leadership to translate complex organizational data into clear, digestible insights for diverse audiences.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in change management design, implementation, and success measurements.
- Proficient in portfolio and program management, including skills in meeting management, conflict resolution, and presentations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholders across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or MBA and relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma).
- Extensive knowledge of the Finance function (within a highly regulated financial institution), including familiarity with regulatory requirements and board-level reporting.
