About the role:

This position is intended for cost reduction projects needed to warrant Urology profitability to continue fueling our category leadership.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Technical evaluation of project VIPs considering all aspects of Design Controls requirements

  • Execute cost-benefit analysis including risk assessments to provide recommendation to management

  • Plan, organize, and prioritize daily work routine to meet established schedule

  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites to ensure alignment and effective project execution

  • Analysis to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity as related to design, material, or process

  • Summarize, analyze, and define conclusions from test results

  • Generate and implement creative solutions to design and manufacturing challenges using new technologies and innovative techniques

  • Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and quality systems

  • Work cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing to ensure project success

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field

  • 3+ years of experience in engineering or a similar role

  • Experience with medical device manufacturing and quality systems

  • Familiar with project management concepts and skills

  • Proven ability to lead projects and influence without authority

  • Strong problem-solving skills and innovative mindset

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in engineering

  • Manufacturing Engineering or Sustaining R&D experience

  • Familiarity with finance metrics, including COGS and gross margin metrics

  • Experience with Boston Scientific or similar organizations
