Our Group:

The Product Safety group is responsible for defining the safety requirements and approvals of all Applied-Israel’s tools, before shipment to the customer.

  • The Product Safety group is working with the R&D division to ensure that each module and tool meet the highest safety standards.
  • The Product Safety group deals with improvements on released products, new products, next-generation systems, and is the approver for product release to customers.
  • The Product Safety group takes active part in any new development from the earliest design phases.

Whatyou'll be doing:

  • Early involvement in the development phases to optimize the design alternatives and comply with the safety requirements.
  • Lead risk assessment from module to system-level and assess the impact on system safety.
  • Lead Product Safety tool assessments and testing sessions. Manage 3rd party lab’s and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations of product safety events at customer sites. Analyze and provide data for issues that may have global impact. Specifies corrective action programs.
  • Apply extensive technical expertise in product safety engineering disciplines.
  • Performs product/system safety analysis on components, subsystems, and systems. Prepares periodic and special reports in connection with engineering studies.
  • Supports internal and external customers on complex compliance issues, legal issues, and corporate responsibility issues.

What you should have?

  • Strong knowledge in Product Safety and the applicable requirements of: SEMI S2, S8, S10, S14, CE Mark, NFPA 79, KC Mark.
  • BSc. in engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product safety related fields.
  • Team player, Highly Creative and Proactive.
  • High level of independent work with constant drive for improvement.
  • System analytical capabilities, Methodic & Quick learner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work and lead complex tasks independently.
  • Familiarity with the Semiconductor industry – advantage.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
