- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational excellence
- Experience managing and building teams that develop, maintain, and scale production software
- Successful applicants must have the legal right to work in Ireland. Amazon will also provide relocation support for successful applicants relocating within the European Union.

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience building complex, scalable, high-performance software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience using machine learning, big data, and/or other software solutions to address security threats and vulnerabilities
- Understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and/or application security
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, etc. and data analysis basics such as SQL, Jupyter notebooks, etc.
