Design and develop structural components, system requirements and specifications to achieve best-in-class structural, NVH and crash performance from conceptualization to mass production
Create vehicle-aligned component and system targets for function, cost, weight and investment
Optimize the concepts and designs with analytical and physical assessments, ensuring conformation to federal regulations governing assigned systems
Interface with Tesla and Supplier manufacturing to develop components that are optimized for the production environment
Research on reliability failure physics and apply them to designing accelerated test methods to represent field behaviors
Take ownership of reliability structural requirements to develop test plans and work internally and externally to ensure the targets are met on schedule

Proven knowledge and application of engineering fundamentals to root cause and solve complex engineering challenges
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Preferred minimum of 1 full development life cycle through design, development, release and launch with substantial system responsibility
Preferred proficiency in computer aided design software (e.g. CATIA)
