What You’ll Do
- Own and manage a portfolio of multinational clients, ensuring seamless payroll compliance and compensation processes.
- Lead payroll and tax compliance projects, advising clients on global compensation strategies and risk mitigation.
- Oversee UK expatriate payroll delivery, including modified Appx 6 / NI Only / Appx 8 / Appx 5 FTC schemes.
- Drive automation and innovation, using technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Leverage data analytics to provide insights that help clients optimise their global mobility programs.
- Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for global payroll and compensation matters.
- Manage cross-border collaborations, working with EY colleagues worldwide to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and development.

What We’re Looking For
We need a proactive, client-focused leader with a strong background in payroll, tax compliance, and global mobility.
- Experience in global compensation, payroll management, or expatriate tax compliance.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience managing complex compensation datasets.
- Understanding of UK payroll compliance, including RTI, Apprenticeship Levy, Employment Allowance, EPS, and FPS.
- Basic knowledge of expatriate tax reliefs, such as Temporary Workplace Relief, Overseas Workdays Relief, and bonus sourcing.
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale payroll processing projects.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and driving performance
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to identify risks, solve problems creatively, and drive process improvements.
- Educated to degree level, with a commitment to continuous learning.
