Define and maintain the Operating System Support Matrix for Cisco UCS servers in collaboration with Product Management, ensuring alignment with OS vendors' roadmaps, features, and release timelines.
Plan, develop, and implement test cases to validate OS functionality (ESXi, Windows, Linux) across Cisco UCS platforms, performing in-depth failure analysis to pinpoint root causes in BIOS, drivers, hardware, or OS layers.
Configure, administer, and solve operating systems on UCS platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Strong debugging skills in at least one operating system, such as Windows, ESXi, or Linux.
Design and implement Python-based automation solutions to streamline testing and workflows, enhancing efficiency and product quality.
Leverage knowledge of storage networking protocols (e.g., SCSI, Fibre Channel) and virtualization technologies to test system integrations.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams and external partners to solve issues and deliver solutions for seamless interoperability.
Conduct comprehensive testing of data center infrastructure (servers, switches, storage arrays) to ensure high-quality, enterprise-grade standards and full test coverage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
8 to 12 years of proven experience in system testing, data center operations, OS issue debugging, and automation.
Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals, infrastructure management, and issue resolution methodologies.
Hands-on experience with data center technologies, storage networking, and server hardware.
Proficiency in Python scripting, with experience in developing automation frameworks and tools.
