In Innovation Engineering, you work on both desired platform innovation to extend our analytics product portfolio with needed functionality and on impactful full stack content to be used by 110.000+ SAP employees. To achieve that, we run our own analytics development platform to host apps and services for our internal stakeholders.
What you'll do
Duration: at least 6 months
Time schedule: minimum 30 hours/week
You are invited to join us in contributing towards the transformation of applications and services from the old Neo stack to the new, modern SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) Cloud environment powered by Cloud Foundry. By doing so, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Enterprise Analytics cloud platform. We are seeking a student full stack developer with a solid background in Cloud Development, encompassing both Neo and Cloud Foundry stacks.
- Application Migration: Take charge of the application migration process, moving applications from the SAP BTP Neo stack to SAP BTP Cloud Foundry. During this process, assess the possibility of replacing applications with standard services provided by SAP CPIT (Corporate Processes & Information Technology) or phasing out services where other efficient alternatives are available. This involves analyzing current applications, identifying dependencies, and creating a comprehensive migration plan to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted transition.
- Development and Testing: Design, develop, and test new features and functionalities for the migrated applications, adhering to SAP secure software development standards. Collaborate with the architects and fellow team members to ensure high-quality code, following best practices and using standard CI/CD tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Integration: Integrate the migrated applications with other systems and services within the SAP BTP Cloud Foundry environment. Ensure smooth data flow and interoperability between different components.
- Troubleshooting and Bug Fixing: Identify and resolve issues related to the migration process, including debugging and fixing bugs in the migrated applications. Collaborate with the support team to provide prompt resolutions to any technical issues that arise.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation related to the migration process, including migration plans, architectural diagrams, and code documentation. Share knowledge and best practices with the team to foster continuous learning and improvement.
