About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Through Ideation to Launch: Guide the process from ideation through technical development to the successful launch of innovative products.
  • Drive Product Development: Collaborate with a team of world-class engineers and designers to drive product development and ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Establish Shared Vision: Build consensus across the company to establish a shared vision and prioritize initiatives that lead to successful product execution.
  • Integrate Research into Product Requirements: Incorporate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and product effectiveness.
  • Define and Analyze Success Metrics: Establish and analyze key metrics to measure the success and impact of products.
  • Understand Strategic and Competitive Position: Deliver industry-leading products by understanding Uber’s strategic and competitive positioning.
  • Maximize Efficiency in Dynamic Environments: Ensure maximum efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where fluid processes and creative solutions are essential.
  • Collaborate and Build Alignment: Work with internal and external stakeholders to build alignment across the organization while navigating ambiguous problem areas.

Collaborators and Partners:

  • Core Money, Risk, Payment Partnership, Product Marketing, TPM, ProdOps, Accounting, Fin Ops, Treasury, Business (Sales, Strategy, Operations), Engineering, Designer, UX researcher etc.

- - - - Basic Qualifications ----

  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience developing world-class applications.
  • Experience working in a metrics and experimentation-driven organisation.
  • Strong customer empathy, and the ability to blend user research with data to create a prioritised product roadmap.
  • Passion for Uber's mission and the company's hybrid technology & operations nature.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent in computer science or a quantitative domain. Preferred Masters in Computer Science or Business Administration.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both within your team and with leadership and partners.
