We’re looking for a Senior Manager with expertise in ESG and Sustainability domain to support EY clients in their ESG Strategy & advisory services, roadmap development, ESG risk and materiality assessment, Sustainability program implementations, ESG financial valuations, ESG reporting, compliance and value measurement.
Your key responsibilities
- Play the role of a Subject Matter Expert/ Specialist role for ESG Advisory services
- Part a dynamic team of professionals undertaking ESG strategy and transformation consulting projects for our Consulting Practice clients
- Responsible to participate in proposal development and support in proposal presentation from GDS to EY clients on strategic opportunities
- On large ESG/Sustainability Transformation and strategy projects support the Consulting Practice by taking up the role of workstream leaders/engagement managers
Key experience required
Good knowledge on the ESG/Sustainability and extensive experience in the following venues or areas
- ESG Strategy:
- Advisory on client’s sustainability strategy

- Implementation of technology solution to support ESG initiatives
- Incorporation of sustainable approach in all functions of organization (services and product design)

- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, must be able to effectively prioritize projects - align with team’s aspirations
- Able to build and manage a team of high performing consultants and achieve defined VoC targets for self and the team
- Participate actively in supporting the Business Consulting leadership in building the practice and supporting the annual team strategy
- Manage relationship with key stakeholders to build tangible business outcomes. Focus consciously to build a network within the practice and brand yourself as a GDS focal point to connect on relevant MENA pursuits/engagements
- Right attitude to understand and align with the organizational goals and priorities. Lead and support the leadership in implementing strategic initiatives at GDS/team levels.
- Collaborate with other competencies and ensure Organizational goals and priorities are achieved as a team
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong understanding and minimum 8+ years of client facing consulting experience in ESG/Sustainability strategy development, transformation/ implementation, ESG valuation and reporting.
- Strong consulting and technical skills to provide consulting services is what we are ideally looking for
- Good to have experience in ESG/Sustainability related digital tools and systems
- Good Research skills, report writing and communication skills and exposure to various research tools will be a necessary expectation of this role
- Ability to plan and run workshops involving Client executives on large Transformation projects
- Experience in project managing transformation engagements and initiatives
- Ability to benchmark client requirements against leading practices and identify client pain points and opportunities.
- Be creative, go-getter and take on any challenge to drive impact and results for our clients/ engagement stakeholders
- Good managerial and leadership skills to enhance the relationship with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities
To qualify for the role, you must have
- BE/B-Tech/MBA/ or specific degree in ESG/Sustainability
- 8+ years of experience in ESG/sustainability projects
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
- Experience in usage of analytical tools/ representations
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Project management skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Report writing, Customer handling, Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience in usage of analytical tools/ representations
- Right attitude to understand and align organizational goals and priorities and assist in implementation of strategic initiatives
- Willing to work on Sunday to Thursday working week and support MENA timings (11AM – 8.30 PM), as preferred (supporting Middle East Clients)
