JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities:

  • Quality input checking:
    Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule) are in place prior to commencing work. Analyze the site data submitted by Honeywell Front Office Teams/Customers.
  • Documentation:
    Is up to date with latest patch releases Creates the workpack document, based on Honeywell templates and standards. Contribute to development of the Standard Build documents in your area of expertise.
  • Execution:
    Diagnose issues reported within the site data submitted and capture them in work pack providing appropriate technical solutions/ workaround. Provide recommendation on migration order to be followed for Experion System Upgrade (Keep technically current with the HPS product/systems portfolio).
  • Migrate the systems in the Honeywell datacenter and ensure ready to plug images are provided for site deployments. Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Reference Documents, Checklists to ensure daily deliverables meet the required standards for self as well as team.
  • Customer facing:
    Conduct kickoff meetings with stakeholders and advise on best practices/ recommendations for ensuring flawless migrations onsite. Represents Honeywell in all customer interactions according to Honeywell values.
  • Project tracking
    : The engineer makes sure the scope and schedule are understood and followed. Ensure that the assigned team is able to meet the delivery schedules as per target, communicate with the Front Office Teams/Customers as necessary. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of Monthly / Weekly performance data such as volume, adoption, productivity, escalation, demand, and capacity planning.
  • Solution development:
    Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group.
  • Team collaboration:
    Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines. Highlight any concerns, in the accountability meeting and come up and drive the action plans to meet the targets
  • Reporting:
    Reports progress and technical problems and / or changes to project lead engineer or Project Manager.


Key skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor / Master of Science Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Preferred specializations: Automation and Computers, Informatics, Cybernetics, Electronics.
  • Experience:
    1+ years of experience in PLC Programming, Automation Industry, Control System & HMI or any other relevant experience in the Automation and Industrial area. Experience in Information Technology, TCP/IP Networks, SCADA and 3rd Party Integration. Proven experience with any of the programing languages for PLCs (Ladder diagram, Function Block diagram, Structured Text or Sequential function chart).
  • Project experience:
    Proven experience in maintaining the quality of deliverables on multiple projects. Strong diagnostic and analytical skills including problem solving, trouble shooting, management of priorities and self-direction. Proven experience on multiple industrial sites such as installation, commissioning, maintenance.

    : Proven experience of working without supervision.
  • Leading:
    Experience leading small project teams.
  • Knowledge of Honeywell Experion and Legacy TPS systems
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft related technologies
  • CISCO Certified Network courses (Cisco's CCNA)
  • Knowledge of installation and maintenance of Operating systems; Virtual machines and Hypervisor platforms experience
  • Troubleshooting skills to resolve basic network and application or system integration issues
  • Working experience with TCP/IP networks (network/device configuration)
