Backend Engineer, Technology Consulting, Financial Services Office (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Hoboken, NJ.Work with a software development engineering team responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, integrating, testing, and deploying new and existing software application programs. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Communications & Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Communications & Engineering or a related field and 4 years of work experience.Must have 4 years of experience in Java.Must have 4 years of experience in a Java Framework (in any combination of Spring OR EMS or Authentication)Must have 4 years of experience in designing, building and consuming RESTful APIsMust have 2 years of experience building applications/platforms with cloud native/Microservices architecture, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, and container deployment.Must have 3 years of experience with modern collaborative development tools (in any combination of Git or CI/CD pipelines)Must have 4 years of experience in an Agile and TDD environmentMust have 4 years of experience in design & architecture large business critical systemsEmployer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
