Your key responsibilities
- Maintain and enforce information security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Review and update System Security Plans (SSPs) and evaluate system changes for security impacts.
- Develop and support operational procedures to address classified data spills, intrusions, and unauthorized access incidents in compliance with federal regulations.
- Apply expertise in NIST SP 800-series, DHS 4300A, and the DHS Security Authorization Process Guide to ensure security compliance.
- Manage security programs within eMASS and IACS platforms.
- Conduct vulnerability scans, review compliance results, and monitor Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Perform security audits and risk assessments, preparing reports with remediation recommendations.
- Ensure user training and access reviews to maintain security awareness and compliance.
- Support configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelors degree
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, assessment, design, and implementation.
- Expertise in NIST and FISMA security requirements and reporting.
- Experience in engineering and implementing security solutions to enhance system security.
- Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies and security control selection.
- Information Assurance experience, including system certification and accreditation.
- Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools, patch management, and compliance enforcement.
- Experience managing cloud security and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance security posture.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Clearance: Active DHS clearance

What we offer

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $103,800 to $190,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $124,600 to $216,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
