Responsible for facilitating transactions, producing, assembling and delivering Coils replacement/ repair parts as part of a Services agreement or order. Responsible liaison between MR Imaging staff and Coils SBU.Includes activities such as processing transactions, managing processes, material management, site operations, or warehouse logistics & shipping, sometimes in a shop structure. Includes craft & non craft labor as well as manager roles responsible solely for these activities. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for material planning and inventory metrics across a service segment
  • Monitor the results of changes to the inventory plan/forecast and recommend modifications
  • Plan for prevention of excess inventory and "stock outs" · Work with all levels of personnel (hourly, supervisory, and general foreperson) in resolving issues, tracking material availability, and advising on material usage
  • Work with customers externally and internally to identify new opportunities to improve our current processes
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years manufacturing, supply chain, or leadership experience or High School diploma/GED and 10 years production or supply chain experience
  • Strong understanding of Lean principles and concepts with proven result
  • Must have experience with Takt time, Value Stream mapping events, 5s, Kaizen events
  • Someone must have setup Kanban systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams. Highly visible leadership required
