Securities Analyst, Strategy and Transactions (S&T) (Capital Transformation - Decision Modeling & Economics - Complex Securities) (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, San Francisco, CA.

Determine the value of derivatives and other complex financial instruments to support clients with regards to financial reporting requirements, as well as for tax planning purposes. Analyze financial information to forecast business conditions and develop financial models. Analyze and develop models to value a variety of financial instruments, using option pricing theory, fixed income and structured finance models, Monte Carlo simulation, statistical analysis, and other techniques from the financial engineering literature. Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client’s business; and use technology and tools to innovate and enhance the effectiveness of services provided.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Computational Finance, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Computational Finance, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.

Of required experience, must have 3 years of experience with one or a combination of the following: at national valuation firm; at accounting firm’s valuation practice; in investment banking; in private equity/venture capital; and/or in commercial banking.

Must have 3 years of recent experience in valuing complex securities, including options, warrants, fixed income securities, structured products and other derivatives.

Must have 3 years of experience working within a given budget and schedule, and providing top-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Must have 3 years of recent experience in financial engineering or statistical software package such as a Matlab, Stata, Bloomberg, or MS Excel/VBA.

Must have 3 years recent experience in Word and PowerPoint.

Domestic travel required up to 25%, to serve client needs.
