As a Deal Services Associate in Operations you will partner with Corporate and Investment Banking Coverage and Product teams to execute and oversee Investment Banking transactions across Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Merges and Acquisitions, and Lending. In this role, you will quarterback key milestones in the deal lifecycle and assist in audit/regulatory reviews and controls issue resolution and reporting. You will also participate in meetings with Bankers to proactively manage deal pipelines, identify opportunities and potential roadblocks that need to be addressed.

Job responsibilities

  • Acts as primary point of contact for bankers to coordinate & complete key transactional tasks
  • Facilitates of operational client and business queries
  • Partners with coverage and product bankers, Wholesale Know Your Customer Operations Client Office and Compliance teams in region to meet local or product specific Know Your Customer and Anti Money Laundering requirements for Clients and transactions
  • Coordinates the launch and progress of Know Your Customer process
  • Coordinates collection of non-Know Your Customer regulatory documentation during transaction execution
  • Conducts analysis and dispositioning of Sanctions, Anti-Corruption, Environmental and Social risks on clients and transactions
  • Participates in bankers’ regional meetings to proactively identify operational opportunities or roadblocks
  • Monitors deal controls to ensure milestones are met & achieved in a timely manner
  • Participates in global process enhancements
  • Delivers results in a dependable, timely and accurate manner

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous experience and sound knowledge of investment banking products (Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Market, Mergers and acquisitions, Equity Capital Market) as well as Global Corporate Banking products & processes
  • Comfortable dealing with clients/senior executives on a regular or ad hoc basis
  • Project management/delivery experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and drive to resolution
  • Ability and drive to take full ownership of processes
  • Proactive/self-starter with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners and clients in a dependable, timely and accurate manner
  • Sound judgment and decision making ability to execute and resolve under pressure
  • Tableau and Alteryx knowledge
  • Excel proficiency

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Powerpoint skills are preferred to structure presentations to team’s senior management and senior stakeholders
  • Language skills [As applicable: (German, French, Arabic, Turkish, Nordic languages, Portuguese)] would be a distinct advantage
