RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to: Sr Systems Eng Manager
U.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of mechanical or aerospace engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Experience in momentum control, specifically Reaction Wheel Assemblies, for space applications
- Experience in mechanical requirements evaluation; design, modification, and test; reviewing and approving the work of other mechanical team members; and interfacing directly with customers and management in meetings and telecoms
- Strong design and analysis skills
- Fluent in Microsoft Office tools, Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of the following software programs desired: MATLAB, NX, and Nastran
- Excellent communication skills to positively influence customer, suppliers and teams
- Self motivated, willing to take ownership and lead mechanical engineering efforts from proposal through on-orbit support
- Ability to creatively resolve issues by evaluation of technical data and risk assessments
- Good people skills and ability to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels from aides to upper management
