You will be a technical leader who drives cross-platform build and configuration systems for target platforms across Linux, Android and other proprietary OSes. You also contribute core framework software, such as those that manage IPC/RPC, lifecycle, event handling, security, and other architectural elements that define how modules coexist in an embedded platform.You will dive into an ambiguous problem spaces and meticulously distill out design choices, trade-offs, and priorities. You are data and metric driven, and obsessively concerned about performance in under resource-constrained environments. You love to share best practices, influence and align teams, and be a technical ambassador for software reuse across the wider Amazon organization.Key job responsibilities

You will be a part of an agile development team following innovative best practices in software development where you’ll write code, as well as work on technical designs and architecture. We are building the foundation of app development experiences, enabling you to interact with product teams to gather requirements, support feasibility analysis and to provide technical solutions that are required in defining our next generation products. One of the important aspects of the role is to develop the best, and you’ll find opportunities to have a mentor as well as mentor others by sharing knowledge across teams as we build a truly unique app development experience.
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience in object oriented programming language such as C++.
