This position reports indirectly to the Tax Manager and will work with all members of the Jacobs global tax group to support our domestic and international tax functions. You will be responsible for assisting with income tax matters within the corporate tax department, extracting and managing data from Jacobs financial systems and supporting the quarterly and annual financial statement reporting requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Jacobs financial data from Jacobs financial systems (including Oracle R12, FCCS, ARCS, iProcurement, etc.) to support all facets of the income tax accounting and related SEC reporting requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of the income tax accounting workpapers and journal entries in Oracle
- Reconcile global tax accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Assist and initiate SOX control performance activities and testing of tax department controls
- Assist with the data collection process in foreign markets
- Support continuous process improvement, including the identification of opportunities to drive processes and controls towards best practices
