Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator performs facility, aircraft, and flight operations-related support so that all Qualcomm operated aircraft are efficiently maintained in a state of readiness to meet senior executive travel requirements.

Under the direction of the Manager, Aircraft Maintenance, the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator handles all shipping/receiving, hazardous materials, hangar equipment maintenance, parts inventory, aircraft laundry and standard stock items and supports Flight Operations as specified.

IT Core Competencies

Basie computer and Microsoft office suite skills

CMP or Maintenance Tracking software experience a plus

Aircraft Operations Scheduling Software a plus

Required Competencies

Ability to communicate, read and write in English

Demonstrated experience in General Aviation

Demonstrated knowledge of FBO Ramp operations

  • Fueling

  • Servicing

  • Towing

Active career pursuit of Aviation professional career, i.e. Pilot, Dispatcher or Maintenance Technician

Ability to work at a self directed level

Experience with Aviation Related Auditing (ISBOA, IBAC, etc)

Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft tooling, stock and equipment

Experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE)

Demonstrated knowledge of FAR related to aircraft maintenance

Additional Competencies

Technical skills a plus

Computer networking skills a plus

Minimum Qualifications

3 years Aviation Experience in G/A, FBO or 135 Charter operations

High School Degree

Current Drivers license

Able to work weekends, after hours and off shift as operational needs demand

Good communication and presentation skills

Resides within 1 hour vehicle travel time of Palomar Carlsbad Airport

Healthy/Physical labor capable

Administrative capabilities in record keeping

Desire to advance/learn

Preferred Qualifications

Federally Licensed as FAA Repairmen, Private Pilot or Dispatcher

Physical Requirements

Physical Abilities:

  • able to lift 50lbs unaided

  • able to work atop lifts, stands and ladders, up to 35'

  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather as needed
