Apple Software Engineer - Backup & Migration

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute to our solutions for seamless data migration/ data transfer between macOS devices. In this role, you will also contribute to migrating users and data from Windows to Apple platforms.Key responsibilities include designing and implementing new features, troubleshooting and resolving issues identified by customers and QA teams, and collaborating closely with cross-functional service groups. You will play a crucial role in shaping software roadmaps and ensuring an iterative, test-driven, and data-driven development process—leveraging telemetry and user feedback to enhance performance and reliability.The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on fault tolerance and reliability in their designs, as well as a meticulous approach to software quality. Additionally, you will review and approve test plans in collaboration with QA leads to maintain high standards of testing and validation.
  • Proven experience in one/more of the following: C++/ Objective C/ Swift/Object Oriented Software/Cocoa
  • Experience developing software with larger cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms and their applications
  • BS/BA or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience / skills.
  • Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting/debugging skills
  • Excellent collaborative skills and written/verbal communication.
  • Experience with macOS development
  • Solid understanding of OS-level fundamentals and services (multi-threading, filesystems, networking, daemon programming, inter-process communication), along with their relevant APIs
  • Experience with C# and .NET
