Payments Governance Manager will be responsible for ensuring we are properly positioned to scale for the future in a fast paced environment that is rapidly growing and ever changing. It’s expected the Manager will be a critical subject matter expert in card network rules and quickly become versed in JP Morgan Chase’s policies in areas including fraud, credit, legal and brand risks, as well as keeping abreast of emerging trends within the industry. Payments Governance team members must have exceptional skills in documentation, evidence tracking, data analysis, automation and creating reports. Additional responsibilities will be assisting with monthly/quarterly/annual data analytics reviews and exception reporting to validate accuracy of Third Parties processing in our space. They will do their part to ensure Oversight & Governance with data integrity and processing to guarantee audit readiness.
Job responsibilities
- Provide manager oversight to Payments Governance Analyst/s
- Responsible for performance and development of Payments Governance Analyst/s
- Subject matter expert for all control requirements set forth in the Payments Governance document
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers/executive contacts and business leads within all relationship types to ensure clear requirements and time frames are established
- Identify emerging trends, determine their validity, and propose solutions when appropriate
- Provide coaching, direction and guidance to internal teams on data sources, data analysis, controls, waivers, anomalies and overall accuracy scores in order to ensure knowledge sharing
- Manage customer experience, and drive result
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Experience with data analytics is a must (ie. Snowflake, allteryx, tableau, etc.) Ability to monitor and analyze data and make appropriate recommendations to ensure success
- Ability to identify common areas of risk and compliance vulnerability
- Must have a strong stakeholder management skills including navigating difficult situations, negotiating timelines, and influencing internal and external stakeholders across organizations and borders
- Must have a strong sense of initiative, independence and ability to take ownership and prioritize multiple complex situations to deliver successful results
- Should be an expert in collating reports and reconciling large data sets
- Should possess sound judgment and flexibility in changing courses and solving problems swiftly
- A strong interest in, and general understanding of Merchant Services, compliance, quality, operations, legal, & risk and controls.
