As a Test Automation Team Leader, You will be in charge of a team of automation engineers who are each an expert in their domain and part of a dedicated scrum.
This is a managerial position with hands-on requirements –lead by exampleWhat you’ll do:
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of automation developer engineers working on a large-scale Cloud product
- Grow Your team members to be “the best version of himself/herself”
- Collaborate closely with other automation teams, Dev, PMO, PM, other integrations(internal/external), customer success, and more!
- Join complex and high-profile projects, bothtechnically, and make sure our CodeReview, Test Plan, and standards are maintained and improved.
In recent 2 years, we reworked our automation infrastructure to thewith Playwright, TS at our core, alongside other OSS industry standard solutions in our tech-stack
What will you need to have?
- 2-3 years of experience in managing a team of automation developers.
- 3 years of experience in Automation development in average to large automation teams
- Proven strong background in Testing and automation methodologies and tools such as CI/CD, OnSAAS Web-based product with large automation suites, concurrent execution
- Possess a strong understanding and hands-on experience with REST API
- Substantial development experience using OOP language like JavaScript / TypeScript / Java / Python
- Substantial experience with automation tools like Playwright / Cypress / Selenium / Puppeteer
- Experience with functional testing and thinking creatively to have high-quality coverage on such a feature
- Team player with great communication skills and ability to mentor others
- Experience on cloud (AWS / GCP)
- Highly motivated, self-learner, and independent
It is extra great if you have:
- Positive management philosophies like Management by strength or other
- Familiarity with Playwright and TypeScript
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Basic Kubernetes and microservices knowledge
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as report-portal
- Familiarity with Groovy
