SAFETY
Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.This position involves:
o Installation and commissioning network solutions.
o Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low to mid-level application interaction.
o Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
o Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
o Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment.o Completing Scaling activity within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
o Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
o Ability to travel within geographical work area is required, up to 20% travel outside traditional work area may be required possibly including international travel.A day in the life
A day in the life of an ID Technician is exciting and varies from day to day with a range of responsibilities, including patching fibre connections, troubleshooting link issues using our internal applications with careful planning, especially when spanning across separate data centers in different regions. We also handle hardware installation in racks, device configuration and upgrades, as well as executing scripts. Collaboration with multiple teams is crucial whilst working on projects as we maintain regular progress updates. Access to internal systems to keep data up-to-date and use internal resources to dive deep and to keep learning.About the team

- Recognized academic or industry qualification (CCNA, JNCIA, degree or relevant work experience).
- Possess TCP/IP networking knowledge and a broad understanding of infrastructure technologies with proficientcy in network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, including VFL, power meter, and OTDR, familiarity with cabling best practices and methodologies, and the ability to troubleshoot networking, routing, and connectivity issues, including network device configuration, application interaction, and cabling infrastructure connectivity.
- Ability to specify power and cooling requirements, participate in hardware racking/stacking, and actively contribute to the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Be able to move and lift computer equipment up to 50lbs.
- Strong understanding of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, etc.) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Significant background in large-scale datacenter network implementations and support.
- Several years of experience working in virtualized enterprise networking environments. Proficient in IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE) and operational excellence concepts or methodologies (a plus).
