Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Manage global event process execution to ensure event compliance and audit ready status at all times. This open role will be supporting Australia, India and cross APAC event marketing by taking guidance from APAC and the country event leaders.
  • Partnership with country event leaders to ensure event performance and ROI, providing support on pre and post event email deployment, event communications, and event performance analysis
  • Ensuring all artifacts for compliance are documented and archived according to IBM Global Event Process
  • Partner with a broader team on specific aspects of large-scale events e.g., IBM Think
  • Lead small scale and virtual events
  • Remain current with b2b event industry trends, best practices and new thinking in areas such as environmental sustainability, inclusivity, and the role of AI in events
  • Act as an event advocate, promote events internally and externally to drive interest and engagement.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience planning and executing a wide range of b2b events
  • Strong project management experience and adherence to deadlines
  • Avid learner who consistently expands knowledge to gain new skills and expertise
  • Proactive listener that can use expertise to predict needs and prevent issues
  • Responsible team player demonstrating ownership and accountability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience with event technology systems such as registration sites, event management platforms and mobile apps.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing/ event management or related discipline
  • Experience using RainFocus.
