• Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a data center.• Operate independently with limited direct management.• Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center, escalating to the Chief Engineer and Data Center Regional Manager as needed.• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.• Troubleshoot and report of facility and data sever-level events within internal SLA.• Create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operation Technicians and vendor support teams.• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to by vendors and Amazon staff.• Utilize internal CMMS to manage building workflows.• Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.• Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies.• Respond to off hour emergency calls related to his data centers and help with the investigation, mitigation, and recovery of the issue(s).• Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 lbs and or work in elevated locations.• Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to provide after-hours support as needed. • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment.• 4+ years of experience of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations such as: generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units.• 3+ years of experience with BMS and EPMS control systems and data collection/trending
• Bachelor's or College's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent work experience in Mechanical/Electrical Field.• Electrical or Mechanical trade (Post Secondary Education).
