Senior Software Engineer

Leads the work of other small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by proving pertinent documents, direction, and examples; short- and long-term solutions; resolutions; and leading cross-functional partnership. Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business and user experience teams; and obtaining cross-function approvals. Leads and participates in medium to large scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and providing leadership to the project team.

Minimum education and experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related field; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.

Must have experience with: Designing and implementing REST API web services using Java; Developing UI using Angular JS; Coding in an object-oriented programming language (Java); Implementing Jenkins pipeline CI/CD; Implementing SQL queries; Testing and troubleshooting using Junit; React, React Native, Angular 4 and Spring Boot; Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Struts MVC Frameworks; JSP, JSTL, Hibernate, EJB, JPA, JavaBeans, Design Patterns, JDBC, Connection Pooling, Angular Ajax, HTML, CSS, SQL, and PL/SQL; Junit, Protractor, Jasmine, Sonar; Databases queries, Stored Procedures, Functions and Packages using Oracle 10g / 9i/ 8i, MySQL, SQL Server 7.0 and MS-Access; and AWS.
