What to Expect

Tesla is looking for a Quality Control Construction Instruments & Electrical Manager to help support SEMI Construction projects at Gigafactory in Nevada.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with development of the site-specific QA/QC/CX program while driving a quality culture that embraces both “right first time” and continuous learning approach that improves project efficiency and quality
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, commissioning agents and vendors to ensure that the site-specific QC/CX Program is followed for all projects
  • Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation deliveries and activities on site
  • Confirm that scopes of work installation conforms to approved Design drawings, specifications, and method
  • Witness & perform construction complete inspection checks & writes QC reports verifying proper install per design & code standards
  • Obtain relevant documentation and ensure the correct implementation of the Inspection Test Plans for all things related to electrical, controls & fire protection
  • Assist and coordinate final handover documentation (QC/CX documents, test reports, inspection reports, etc.) including completion of construction punch lists
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 experience in quality assurance
  • Knowledge of the construction quality & commissioning process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances in Controls, Instruments, and Electrical Systems
  • Experience in the construction quality & commissioning management of mission critical facilities
  • Ability to research building codes (NFPA/NEC, UL, other) and interpret the requirements against installed product
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, hands-on, working environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Commissioning experience & knowledge a huge plus
