Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.As a member of the MAS quant research technology team, you will be working closely with the Research analysts daily. Responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and supporting applications that enable quant analysts to conduct research.
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
- Hands on practical experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools like Terraform.
- Familiarity with container and container orchestration such as ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Hands-on experience with different services of AWS including S3, Lambda, EC2, ALB, NLB, EKS, Aurora Postgres is needed.
- Proficiency in Front end technologies such as React, Angular, Typescript and Jest testing framework.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end build tools and frameworks.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Any cloud-based certification like AWS Developer/Solution Associate is a plus.
- Experience with Python/Java and Database technologies are good to have.
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience with project management.Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
