Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to build and enable a highly scalable and resilient modern computing environment through leveraging cloud services.
  • Bring online secure, compliant native services from AWS, GCP, Azure and IBM.
  • Create highly automated orchestration, CI/CD and provisioning of cloud services.
  • Develop the right processes and standards for managing cloud environments and cloud-hosted applications and associated service management and assurance considerations.
  • Key partnerships should be fostered with the Technology heads in the businesses, CISO and TI Enterprise organizations, as well as other high-profile stakeholders, to establish appropriate architectural patterns and approaches.
  • Create and develop the right talent and skills, building a best-in class organisation to effectively adopt a cloud-first approach at scale.
  • Lead an engineering organization responsible forimplementing/integratingcloud computing architecture solutions that address cloud security and compliance fundamentals, deployment automation and elasticity of environments.
  • Bring industry-leading though leadership to develop and drive the growing need for speed to market, deliver flexibility and competitive capabilities in the increasingly challenging landscape for finance services.
  • Lead the cloud lifecycle journey aligning to Agile, DevOps and ITIL with a strong metrics and analytical mindset to drive automation and self-service technology.
  • Define and lead a multi-year journey to transform Citi’s ecosystem to a world class, cloud-native technology stack.
  • Partner with the CIOs and Heads of Technology to provide expertise in the areas of cloud to determine technical requirements, feasibility, cost and performance.
  • Spearhead an organization that partners with business and application architecture teams to develop collaborative designs, solutions, and alternatives to enable application innovation and delivery.
  • Provide central oversight for key activities such as engineering quality/efficiency standards, operational excellence and SDLC adherence.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class processes, metrics and practices.

Qualifications

  • Ideally 15+ years senior technology engineering and leadership experience, encompassing the full life cycle of Public Cloud Native design, planning, and execution whilst ensuring BAU day-to-day operations
  • Outcome orientated engineering leader, with a successful track record of executing and delivering results
  • Strong experience and passion for building Cloud Native architectures based on Microservices and Cloud Architecture Patterns, leveraging CI/CD and DevOps principles
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills to build a cohesive team capable of succession to more senior roles. Must be able to demonstrate coaching, mentoring, and developing team members in prior roles
  • Be an engineering culture carrier, with strong talent focus with the ability to successfully recruit and develop experts from leading organizations across the globe
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex environment managing global teams
  • Appreciation of and ability to work in matrix environments and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiatives
  • Able to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization, from technical developers to the savviest business/executive leaders
  • Must possess a strong understanding of risk and regulatory processes and be able to appropriately assess compliance risk when business decisions are made.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Other advanced degree preferred, but not required
