Strategy and Transactions – Financial Services - TCF - Valuation Modelling & Economics – Staff/ Senior

Financial Services SaT (“FSO SaT”) focus on serving clients in the banking, insurance, asset management and fintech sectors, which are highly regulated segments bringing more sector specific training and exposures.


Your key responsibilities

  • Conduct industry and equity research and analyze information obtained from various channels.
  • Review and analyze valuation workings/reports issued by other valuation firms and prepare review memo in order to assist audit teams.
  • Develop and analyze financial models and perform financial analyses (historical performance review, financial forecast and free cash flow analysis).
  • Appraise company or asset values (financial instrument and intangible asset) using income approach, market approach or asset-based approach for transactions, financial reporting or tax purposes.
  • Work closely with clients and other professionals in the financial due diligence, legal, tax and valuation fields.
  • Provide valuation advisory support to clients during discussions on transactions.

What we look for

We’re looking for people with functional knowledge and diversified background in the following areas:

  • University graduates with a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience for Staff 2 and minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience for Senior. Fresh graduates without relevant experience will be considered for Staff 1
  • Degree holder in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, science, or related disciplines
  • Holding or currently studying professional qualifications such as CFA, or FRM is preferred (but not essential)
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities and research skills
  • Effective communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Self-driven initiatives and willingness to accept challenges with positive energy
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and forecasts is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft and Excel knowledge and good report-writing skills
