Description
- Run bench test and debug of RF SoC IP, including transmitters, receivers, PLL, power amplifiers, ADC/DAC, crystal oscillators, and PMU.- Debug chip level or board level de-sense and EMI issues.- Write scripts using a buildup environment to automate measurements.- Perform RF system characterization measuring EVM, spectral mask, phase noise, sensitivity, and other radio parameters.- Design external matching networks to optimize Tx/Rx radio performance.- Generate RF design/verification/test report.- Synchronize radio register settings between the simulation environment and the test environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in RF test development, debugging, and reporting.
  • Scripting and debugging knowledge in any of the following: Python, Perl, TCL, C++, or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of RF test equipment (network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, vector signal analyzer, vector signal generator, etc.).
  • Good understanding of RF, PLL, and general wireless systems measurements (i.e., IP3, NF, ACPR, phase noise, lock time, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong RF background and familiarity with RF systems fundamentals.
  • Some experience in RF PCB board design, debugging, and development.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
