Your key responsibilities

• Understand the relevant business problems and design creative, engaging and easy to consume visual insights
• Author and review of BI design specifications; develop, review and unit test reports, dashboards and other visualizations as part of solutions
• Execute, or provide expert advice related to data modelling and data preparation
• Work on and manage mid-size projects, and ensure smooth service delivery on assigned products, engagements and/or geographies
• Work with project managers to study resource needs and gaps, and devise alternative ways forward
• Provide expert reviews for all projects within the assigned subject
• Translate high-level business problems into a concrete technical requirements and work plans.
• Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Supervise, develop and mentor junior team members
• Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members
• Promote the use of current technologies and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided
• Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with EY offices globally to develop Global Delivery Services opportunities
• Steer and develop participation in proposals and business development opportunities and participate in responding to proposals and new business opportunities.

Skills and attributes for success

• Minimum of 4 years of BI experience
• 4+ years of professional experience with dashboards and data visualization using Power BI. Deep understanding of writing SQL, DAX functions and working on “M”.
• Minimum of 3 years of database design, modelling and integration experience with relational data sources, such as SQL Server databases
• Strong data analysis and modelling using Alteryx.
• Hands on experience of automation and scripting using Python and VBA.
• Exposure of Financial accounting and understanding of financial statements is required.
• Hands on experience of various Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Explorer, Azure SQL & Databricks
• Knowledge of PowerApps and Power Automate licensing and experience developing solutions that span multiple Office 365 services
• Solid working knowledge of report and dashboard design and development tools and techniques.
• Curiosity to learn the business methodology, data model and user personas.
• Strong understanding of BI best practices, analysis, visualization, and latest BI trends.
• Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and understanding of product development activities such as installation, upgrade and namespace management.
• Experience following DevOps best practices, such as unit testing, branching, builds, deployment, regression testing, etc.
• Ability to successfully interact with senior stakeholders
• Experience of steering diverse teams, complex engagements, mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximize performance.
• Sound understanding of disruptive technologies and innovation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Organized and structured in the completion of tasks
• Experience of working in advisory/consulting/industry environment

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in computer science, or related field, required. Advanced degree
• or equivalent business experience preferred
• Fact inspired thoughtfulness with excellent attention to details
• Hands-on experience with data engineering tasks such as building analytical data records and experience manipulating and investigating large volumes of data
• Relevant work experience of minimum 7 years in a big 4 or technology/ consulting set up

• Ability to build rapport within the firm and win the trust of the clients
• Willingness to travel extensively and to work on client sites / practice office locations
• Project management skills
• Exposure to tools like Tableau, Azure stack
