R&D Engineer/Scientist - Simulation & Analysis - Krakow
As an R&D Engineer/Scientist within Adv Tech Europe at Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) in Krakow, you will play a crucial role in the early stages of technology development. Your primary focus will be on supporting our UK analysis team and providing additional resource for a range of projects working on different aspects of aircraft thermal management. You will have experience of operating multiple numerical engineering software packages.
Key responsibilities:
Support the UK team with analysis of complex systems using multiple software packages but focusing on Matlab/Simulink.
Support development of control laws for technology development prototype systems.
Systems engineering of the complex air and thermal management aircraft systems
Key requirements:
- Fluent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of the heat transfer fundamentals and ability to generate models, in particular ability to create 1-D models.
- Experience in mesh optimization, numerical models, and post processing within Ansys environment.
- Experience of multiple CFD packages and ability to transfer skills onto new packages where projects demand.
- Experience of collaborating within cross-functional teams and presenting your concepts to different stakeholders.

We value:
- Experience of working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience and/or understanding of Aircraft Thermodynamic Systems, in particular Environmental Control Systems (ECS) and fuel cell BOP.
- Experience with 3D modelling, NX or similar tool.
- Further degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
- Knowledge and experience in Technology Readiness Levels (TRL).
- Machine learning experience.
- Ability to maintain pressure to deliver on external parties, sometimes with minimal leverage.
- Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
