JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Advanced Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing advanced enterprise software solutions for our Building Management Systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software applications that optimize automation processes and improve operational efficiency. Your expertise in software engineering and automation technologies will contribute to the success of our organization. You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Atlanta, Georgia location on a hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building a Software platform / solution for Configuring, Monitoring and Industrial Devices connectivity
  • Develop storyboards translated from customer’s requirements.
  • Ability to understand and implement the cyber security requirements for cloud
  • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
  • Prototype, Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable server side code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Ability to understand Honeywell’s cloud based offering and its current service model and identify opportunities of reuse

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong expertise in architecting the enterprise software applications based on devices and its interactions.
  • Experience in MS Azure Cloud Services, Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory, C# ASP .Net, MVC, Web Services, REST
  • Experience on C++ will be added advantage.
  • Strong design, development and architecture experience in Cloud Services, Micro Services, Event & IOT Hubs, Microsoft .NET, Web Services and hand-on experience in SaaS enabled solutions.
  • In-depth design and development experience with minimum of 1 project life cycle on Cloud / SaaS

Master's degree in computer science or a related field
• Experience with industrial automation systems and protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus)
• Knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and technologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
