Key Areas of Responsibility
Maintain overall responsibility for the delivery of complex Airport projects to the required quality, schedule and budget
Manage the contractual requirements of the project to ensure Honeywell’s exposure is minimised and controlled through timely responses and internal escalation.
Manage effective communications with all project stakeholders
Lead all change management, delay (EOT) management and contractual claims and manage together with the Commercial-Contract Manager/Quantity Surveyor.
Define all subcontract/supply requirements and work with Supply Chain to ensure all subcontractor/supplier contracts and orders are appropriate for the project from a scope/cost and risk viewpoint. Lead or participate in negotiations as necessary
Undertake financial and operational reviews monthly on Airports projects within the area of responsibility.
Ensure the designed and installed solution is fit for purpose in meeting the project requirements with the lowest cost of delivery.
Devise and implement risk management programs and ensure proactive risk mitigation strategies are implemented and communicated to management on a regular basis
Report to General Manager, Projects on project progress and relevant issues on a regular basis

On time delivery at forecasted gross margin
Compliance on Health, Safety, Quality and delivery methodology
Project Growth (Gross Margin).
Successful subcontractor management
Zero or Positive Project Gross Margin Deviation
Overbill and Positive Working Capital
Billing on all GMP projects to be in line with cashflow approved at bid (eCAP) and the contractual terms.
Undertake financial and operational reviews monthly on GMP projects within the area of responsibility.

Education / Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in Electrical /ELV Engineering, Information Technology or similar. Tertiary qualifications in Project Management are preferred Further education in management or project management would also be advantageous. |
Over 15 years proven experience in project management including budget ownership/management, resource allocation, scheduling, forecasting and planning. Over 10 years’ experience in managing brownfield Airport (Airside) projects (AFL, Ground Radar, CMS, ASMGCS & VDGS) Proven project experience design and execution involving multiple Airside technologies such as AFL cabling, electrical systems and ICT technologies. Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives. Proven commercial/contractual acumen. Proven Bid Management experience & Process Understanding. | |
Professional Skills / Knowledge | Excellent computer, written and oral communication and negotiation skills. Understanding of Airport airside operations, technology and external environment Good communication and interpersonal skills Self-starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision The ability to work under pressure Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives Ability to effect situations where difficult or unpopular decisions may need to be made |
